Standards of Practice
Artifacts and Lessons
The student should be heard, the teacher should listen, and a strong partnership in classroom management should flourish.
Achievements for Lesson Plan:
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to present creative tableaus that include proper dramatic techniques to demonstrate a powerful message to audiences about positive social change in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
Students will use a variety of literacy skills including written scripts, oral communication, and visual components to research the importance of historical artifacts and present the views of influential 2SLGBTQIA+ members to audiences as a means of fostering positive social change.
Students need a clear explanation of assessment expectations of using artifacts as the focal point of their dramatic presentations
Students will need to be able to work effectively in groups that foster their academic, artistic, and literacy strengths. Such as having one student as the narrator, some students silently preforming, and all students researching and writing the script using proper dramatic terminology
