Artifacts of Educational Growth

GOALS (Girls. Organizing. And. Learning. Sports)
This volunteer program provides girls in the Windsor and surrounding areas with the opportunity to learn new skills in sports, nutrition, and self-confidence free of charge. Skills and activities include dance, volleyball, Pilates, strength training, Zumba, basketball, skipping, diving, and yoga.

Herman Academy Food for Change
During my practicum I was placed in three Food and Nutrition classes at Herman Academy. I had the opportunity to teach students in high school the skills of Food and Nutrition, while also working to instill strong leaderships skills and help support healthy community engagements. Through the STEPS Cafe, daily after school snacks, free and hot school lunches Herman Academy's Family Studies Department truly uses tech activities to promote social justice.

A New Kind of Placement
Arts in Pedagogy is a teaching tool that equips educators with four mini-units, that span over four weeks, between four different grade levels. These twenty complied lessons provide educators with a tool that eliminates constraints to construct an immersive, dynamic, creative, and student-led learning environment.

Bridge to Success
It was an honour to speak at the graduation of the Algoma District School Board's Adult Education Class of 2022. The students through the Work and Education Program truly demonstrated resilience and dedication. Through providing online resources and support during COVID together we crossed a difficult bridge to success.
